SEO/AEO Strategist – Search Visibility Lead

About the role

As the SEO/AEO Strategist you will own uShip’s entire organic search program, driving technical SEO, content strategy, and the emerging field of AI‑powered search. Working closely with the Growth Marketing Manager and the broader marketing team, you will translate strategy into measurable improvements in traffic, rankings, and conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an organic search strategy across all commodity verticals, aligning SEO goals with business objectives.
• Conduct regular site crawls, resolve technical issues, manage internal linking, and monitor Core Web Vitals and page‑speed performance.
• Lead keyword research, content briefing, and on‑page optimization, while maintaining content hub and pillar page architecture.
• Produce regular SEO performance reports, track rankings, CTR, impression share, and organic revenue contribution.
• Monitor uShip’s visibility in AI‑generated search experiences and implement a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure SEO requirements are met for new features, URL structures, and site changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end organic search programs.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to marketing leadership and cross‑functional partners.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of search algorithm updates, AI search behaviors, and best‑practice SEO techniques.
