Senior Virtual Loan Processor

About the role

The Senior Virtual Loan Processor manages residential mortgage and equity loan applications from submission through closing, ensuring compliance with Northwest policies, federal and state regulations, and investor guidelines. This remote position serves as the primary point of contact for borrowers after the application date.

Key responsibilities

• Process loan files in the loan origination system, maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for verifications, appraisals, title work, flood zone determinations, insurance, payoffs, and tax transcripts.
• Maintain a pipeline of active loans to ensure timely closing and smooth transition to closers.
• Communicate loan terms, counter‑offers, and status updates to borrowers and referral partners.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of residential lending experience, with 3‑5 years in mortgage or equity loan processing preferred.
• Registration with NMLSR and annual renewal, providing a unique identifier to consumers.
• Strong knowledge of conventional, government, and Northwest loan products, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, and VA guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using loan origination and processing software.
