Senior UX Principal - Enterprise Team

About the role

The Home Depot is expanding its UX team and is looking for a Senior UX Principal to lead strategic UX activities that connect customer and associate experiences. The role focuses on the largest problems across domains and can take on different ways of leading, such as strategist, service designer, information architect, creative director or big project team lead. It operates autonomously, identifies insights and opportunities and drives consistency and standards, typically supporting 4-6 product teams within a customer/associate experience segment and reporting to a Technology Director or Sr. Director.

Key responsibilities

• Delivery and execution (35%): ensure consistency of deliverables across domains, lead synthesis and facilitation activities, and deliver UX strategy artifacts such as experience maps and service blueprints.
• People (20%): mentor principals and future principals on strategy, planning and innovative practices; help UX leadership align resources to products; attract, retain, develop and motivate top talent.
• Strategy and planning (45%): partner with Product, Development and other stakeholders across domains, drive UX practice and vision, combine user research with partners' OGSMs or OKRs to articulate the vision of experiences, and communicate insights and opportunities.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience working with agile software development teams.
• Preferred: minimum of a bachelor's degree in a field related to the job.
• Preferred: 10 years of work experience.
• Travel typically under 10% overnight, mostly sitting indoors with occasional movement.
