Senior Traveling Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Senior Traveling Project Manager leads complex, multi‑site construction programs from design through closeout, ensuring successful execution across permitting, construction, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement. This senior contributor acts as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple geographic markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects and multi‑site programs, covering planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Develop and align project strategies with client objectives, budgets, schedules and operational requirements.
• Manage client relationships as the primary contact, advising leadership, handling expectations and facilitating decision‑making.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, resources and business objectives across teams, contractors and vendors.
• Oversee schedule development, monitor critical path risks, and implement mitigation and recovery plans.
• Control project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow tracking, change management and cost reporting.
• Provide on‑site construction leadership, ensuring quality, schedule performance, commissioning and readiness for occupancy.
• Administer contracts, identify and mitigate scope, schedule, budget and procurement risks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience in construction, facilities, corporate real estate or related fields.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale, complex projects through all phases, including design, permitting, construction and closeout.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and client programs across different jurisdictions or markets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project budgets, schedules, stakeholder relationships and operational risk mitigation.
• Strong executive presence, adaptability and ability to work independently in varied geographic environments.
