Senior Tooling Engineer

About the role

Radiant Industries is developing portable nuclear microreactors and needs a Senior Tooling Engineer to create the custom equipment that will manufacture, fuel, and refuel its Kaleidos reactor. You will work closely with design and manufacturing teams to translate complex mechanisms into reliable production tools.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to develop innovative production equipment for fabricating and assembling complex mechanisms and structures.
• Design, analyze, and fabricate tooling that enables semi‑remote fueling/defueling operations for the reactor.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for components and fabrication services.
• Develop detailed fabrication drawings and ensure compliance with GD&T standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical equipment design and multi‑component assembly fabrication.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
