Senior Tax Planner

About the role

Range is building an AI‑powered wealth management platform and seeks a Senior Tax Planner to lead individual tax planning and compliance for its members. The role is based in New York (or McLean, VA, or Seattle) and works onsite Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Create comprehensive income tax projections and forecast future liabilities for clients.
• Develop scenario analyses, advise on withholding, quarterly estimated payments, and IRS Safe Harbor rules.
• Design strategic tax plans covering retirement, charitable giving, education savings, equity compensation, AMT, real‑property investments, SALT, international tax, and estate/gift tax.
• Review and file individual tax returns, ensure accuracy and compliance, maintain documentation, and support audits.

Required profile

• CPA, EA, or equivalent tax certification.
• 7+ years of experience in tax planning and return review for individuals.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws across estates, gifts, trusts, and passive investments.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
