Senior Tax Associate

About the role

Crisler CPA, a Tennessee tax and accounting services provider, is seeking a skilled Senior Tax Associate. The role is primarily office‑based in Brentwood with the option to work remotely one to two days per week after an introductory period.

Key responsibilities

• Gather client information, coordinate with preparers and managers, and set appointments to facilitate the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Prepare and review tax returns, answer tax‑related questions, and resolve routine to moderately complex tax matters.
• Monitor engagement status, maintain communication with clients and supervisors, and ensure accurate time and charge reporting for billing.
• Supervise junior tax staff, participate in pricing and billing, and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA license or CPA‑candidate status strongly preferred.
• Minimum four years of recent tax return preparation or review experience.
• Experience in a CPA firm is a strong plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
