Accounting Associate

About the role

Crisler CPA, a Tennessee tax and accounting services provider with offices in Hendersonville and Brentwood, is looking for a skilled and motivated Accounting Associate. This is primarily an in‑office position, with the potential to work remotely 1‑2 days a week after an introductory period.

Key responsibilities

• Gather client information, complete assignments, and coordinate with reviewers.
• Monitor and report on engagement status, maintaining open communication with clients and supervisors.
• Prepare client invoices, manage accounts receivable/payable, and process payroll and tax deposits.
• Record accounting transactions, maintain general ledgers, and review monthly reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, payroll tax, sales/use tax, and other state/local returns.
• Work independently on ordinary accounting matters, control time and charges, and participate in pricing and billing.

Required profile

• Associate's degree (or near completion) required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0–3 years of recent accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Great attention to detail with strong communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
