Senior Strategic Operations Manager – Marketplace Strategy & Performance

About the role

Uber’s Grocery & Retail Marketplace is expanding rapidly, connecting customers, merchants and couriers through the Uber Eats app. As a Senior Strategic Operations Manager you will shape the strategy and performance of this complex marketplace, using data‑driven insights to improve reliability, efficiency and unit economics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies that balance reliability, courier supply, customer experience and profitability.
• Analyze large datasets to surface performance trends, diagnose root causes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead end‑to‑end operational initiatives, measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product, Data Science and Engineering teams to influence product roadmaps, prioritize enhancements and evaluate experiments.
• Build quantitative frameworks and dashboards to evaluate trade‑offs such as delivery speed versus cost and courier earnings.
• Conduct deep‑dives into levers like courier matching, order batching and delivery radii to boost speed and efficiency.
• Automate performance monitoring tools to detect emerging risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy or analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of owning initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Business judgment to translate data into actionable strategies quickly.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets for financial and operational modeling.
