Driver

About the role

Atria Senior Living is seeking a reliable Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and support the Engage Life and Maintenance teams. You will operate community vehicles, assist residents with mobility needs, and ensure vehicles are well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Transport residents to social events, appointments and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles, secure wheelchairs and use lifts safely.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, fuel, lubricants, cleaning and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and submit travel expense charges daily.
• Deliver groceries and personal items to resident apartments.
• Support Engage Life activities and act as backup for the Engage Life or Maintenance Director as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum five (5) years of professional driving experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Ability to operate a 7‑16 passenger bus, limousine, car, tire‑changing equipment, wheelchair lift and dollies.
• Experience with emergency vehicle repairs and minor on‑road maintenance.
• Knowledge of streets within an 8‑mile radius of the community.
• Compliance with Atria’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy.
