Senior Staff Backend Product Engineer

About the role

Radar is looking for senior‑level backend product engineers to extend its core geolocation platform, which handles over 1 billion API calls per day. The role can be based in the Flatiron office in NYC or remote within the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship features for the backend API layer and offline data pipelines using TypeScript, Rust, Python and Scala.
• Ensure your code powers high‑throughput services handling billions of requests daily.
• Collaborate with customers and prospects to gather feedback and improve product functionality.

• Generalist engineer mindset with curiosity about how systems work.
• Willingness to engage with customers and translate their needs into technical solutions.
• Tenacity to tackle hard problems and see them through to completion.
