Senior Solutions Engineer – US West

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join Coder’s Sales Engineering team in the US West region. You will partner with Account Executives to qualify, progress, and close revenue opportunities with Fortune 500 prospects, guiding them through demos, architecture discussions, and proofs‑of‑concept that showcase Coder’s AI‑assisted development platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with prospects throughout the pre‑sales process and drive technical wins.
• Demonstrate the Coder platform from developer, administrator, and AI‑agent perspectives.
• Install Coder on cloud, on‑prem Kubernetes, or VM infrastructure.
• Run proofs‑of‑concept that illustrate value for agentic and LLM‑powered development workflows.
• Serve as the voice of prospects, routing insights to Engineering and Product.
• Troubleshoot deployments, networking, and Kubernetes components during evaluations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer selling infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Strong customer‑facing skills that earn trust with technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate technical hurdles into business value in real time.
• Deep Linux fundamentals and comfort at the command line.
• Experience leading architecture demos and deep‑dive troubleshooting sessions.

Required skills

• Docker and Kubernetes (3+ years hands‑on).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
• Networking concepts: ingress controllers, proxies, load balancers.
• AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and LLM routing layers like LiteLLM.
• Linux command‑line proficiency.
