Senior Software Engineer – Medical Device Solutions

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will design, develop, verify, and maintain software for implantable neural stimulation systems and related healthcare technologies. You will work in a hybrid model from the Costa Rica office and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify, and maintain desktop applications using C#.NET, WPF, XAML, MVVM and Entity Framework.
• Build scalable web applications and services with Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, REST APIs, AWS, microservices and serverless architectures.
• Lead software development throughout the product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, code reviews and deployment.
• Ensure software quality through unit, integration and system testing, and maintain technical documentation and design records.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Proven experience developing Windows desktop applications using WPF, XAML and MVVM.
• Hands‑on experience building web applications with Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with regulated environments and familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485 or 21 CFR Part 820 is preferred.
