About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Web Access Management (WAM) and Identity & Access Management platform team. You will design, develop, and maintain authentication, entitlement, and access‑token services that protect our products, working from discovery through deployment and optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, architects and engineers to define requirements for identity, entitlement, authentication and access‑token services.
- Design, implement and unit‑test backend services using Java, Spring or Micronaut, and front‑end components with Angular/TypeScript when needed.
- Drive the re‑platforming of legacy Spring/Jetty services to cloud‑native Micronaut micro‑services on AWS, applying clean/hexagonal architecture and SOLID principles.
- Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and integrations for OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML and MFA flows.
- Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests (JUnit, Mockito, Cypress) and support CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Gradle).
- Troubleshoot production incidents, resolve bugs and stay current with emerging IAM, cloud and security technologies.
Required profile
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot and/or Micronaut.
- Experience building micro‑services, RESTful APIs and applying clean architecture and SOLID principles.
- Proficiency in front‑end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular, plus HTML5, CSS3, JSP.
- Hands‑on experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL; exposure to NoSQL (DynamoDB) is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of AWS, Terraform, Docker, Linux/UNIX, and web servers such as Apache or NGINX.
- Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA, identity federation and OWASP security best practices.
What we offer
- U.S. base salary range $95,300 – $158,800 per year.
