Senior Software Engineer II – Audio Core (Remote, US)

About the role

Splice is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to lead the design and implementation of the audio engine powering its DAW plugins and desktop application. The role collaborates with product, design, and engineering teams to shape the creative workflow for musicians worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the core audio engine for Splice’s DAW plugins and desktop app.
• Partner with product management and design to define user experiences and feature roadmaps.
• Lead technical discussions, propose architectural improvements, and author RFCs.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and share expertise across the organization.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software development experience building production‑quality audio software.
• Deep expertise in signal processing, real‑time systems, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to drive complex, ambiguous technical initiatives from definition to delivery.
• Strong communication skills and a bias toward action and experimentation.
