Senior Software Engineer I - Fullstack

About the role

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of user‑facing applications that power its mission‑critical platforms for satellites, UAVs and launch vehicles. The role offers hands‑on, autonomous work in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain web‑based dashboards and applications for internal and external users.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps and machine‑learning teams to integrate complex data and workflows.
• Translate product and stakeholder requirements into functional, scalable UI solutions.
• Contribute to reusable component libraries to ensure visual and behavioral consistency.
• Participate in QA, testing and release cycles to deliver high‑quality software.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers and influence frontend architecture decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience building web application frontends.
• Proven ability to deliver production‑ready frontend features independently or as a lead.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Vue.js framework and related tooling (e.g., Axios).
• Experience with Python APIs and backend integration (preferred).
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch or similar complex APIs.
