Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team at SentiLink, you will own the data infrastructure components that support the SentiLink suite of products. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and data‑science teams to build, enhance, and modify the platform that powers our fraud‑detection solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, expand, and optimise data infrastructure to create the most accurate dataset of identities and their relationships.
• Design, develop, and operate secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements.
• Maintain a data‑observability framework to ensure strict quality and freshness standards.
• Optimise storage layers and build interfaces for fast, scalable data access.
• Collaborate with product squads, participate in on‑call rotation, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation through hackathons and proofs of concept.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang and experience building large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or similar technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building containerised data services on Kubernetes and applying Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
