Senior Software Developer – R&D (Hybrid, Philadelphia)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join its R&D team in Philadelphia. You will work on mission‑critical industrial software, delivering high‑quality code in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug C#/.NET and TypeScript applications.
• Make technical decisions balancing scaling, reliability, performance, and business needs.
• Deliver production‑ready software on schedule within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Maintain and extend existing codebases, including areas outside your core expertise.
• Collaborate with architecture, product owners, and other development teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide technical support for customers and handle escalated issues.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience in object‑oriented languages.
• Proven track record delivering complex, high‑impact products.
• Experience leading medium‑scale initiatives with independent follow‑through.
