Senior SDET – Test Automation Engineer

About the role

PactFi is building a secure, end‑to‑end fintech platform for private credit transactions. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead and scale end‑to‑end test automation, ensuring reliable releases and high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evolve, and own the Playwright automation framework (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Develop robust E2E, integration and regression test suites covering critical financial workflows.
• Integrate tests into CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and implement parallelization, isolation and flakiness mitigation.
• Translate complex loan servicing, covenant tracking and capital call processes into deterministic test cases.
• Define SLAs for test reliability, monitor test signal vs. noise and lead incident retrospectives.
• Implement AI‑assisted test case generation using LLM‑based tools.
• Mentor engineers and QA contributors, establishing best practices and quality standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in test automation for modern web applications.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices and distributed system validation.
• Ability to work with financial domain concepts and collaborate with product experts.
