Senior SAP HR ABAP Developer

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Senior SAP HR ABAP Developer to join its consulting team. You will help clients define problem statements, evaluate solution options, and deliver value‑adding SAP HR solutions across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP HR ABAP solutions for Time Management, Time & Labor, and CATS (CATSDB) modules.
• Develop and enhance ABAP reports, interfaces, user exits, BAdIs, and enhancements related to employee time recording and payroll integration.
• Configure and customize CATSDB, including time entry, approvals, validations, and data transfers to Payroll, CO, and FI.
• Build and maintain interfaces for Time & Labor data using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and file‑based integrations.
• Analyze and resolve production issues concerning time evaluation, absence quotas, work schedules, and labor distribution.
• Collaborate with functional HR teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with audit, security, and data‑accuracy standards for time and labor reporting.
• Perform unit testing, support UAT, conduct performance tuning, and produce documentation.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing HR system maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in complex SAP environments and IT overall.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer‑based visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel to project or client locations as needed.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP ABAP for HCM/HR.
• Expertise in CATSDB, Time Management, and Time & Labor modules.
• Experience with payroll integration and knowledge of HR info types, schemas, and time evaluation.
• Proficiency with OData services, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and file‑based integrations.
• Solid troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation skills.
