Senior Repair Technician

About the role

Opus Inspection, Inc. is seeking a Senior Repair Technician to manage and maintain its fleet of vehicles used for emissions testing and compliance audits. The role combines hands‑on mechanical work with coordination of covert audit vehicles and support for customer service and regulatory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service all fleet and covert audit vehicles, ensuring they meet Georgia Clean Air Force standards.
• Coordinate covert audit schedules, set up and troubleshoot testing failures.
• Evaluate repair receipts for reasonableness and emission relevance, and visually inspect vehicles for waiver compliance.
• Act as liaison with Georgia’s Clean Air Force public information staff and assist auditors during vehicle and visual audits.
• Research recurring emission failures on motorist vehicles and propose repair solutions.
• Keep the Opus headquarters garage clean and organized, and support the Assistant Repair Technician as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive repair and fleet maintenance, preferably with emissions‑related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal emissions regulations and testing procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with customer service, auditors, and management teams.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and warranty verification.
