Senior Quality Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Quality Supervisor at 3M leads a team responsible for analytical testing and quality‑assurance controls. This position combines hands‑on problem solving with strategic oversight to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of quality‑assurance and analytical professionals, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and providing performance feedback.
• Review, approve, and ensure the accuracy of work results produced by subordinates.
• Conduct complex research and analysis to resolve non‑routine, difficult inquiries related to testing and quality controls.
• Develop, implement, and monitor functional quality‑control plans that align with business goals and project timelines.
• Manage budget for testing equipment, external services, and labor costs, making recommendations on financial resource allocation.
• Coordinate training and development needs for the team and other site stakeholders.
• Assemble project teams, present recommendations, and drive improvements to productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality‑assurance or analytical testing environments, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with direct responsibility for a team of technical staff.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of handling complex, non‑routine issues.
• Experience managing budgets and making financially impactful recommendations.
• Ability to adapt techniques and methods to varying work conditions and drive continuous improvement.
