Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join 3M’s global quality team in Maplewood. In this role you will drive quality initiatives across new product introductions and existing product lines, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into robust manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Design for Quality activities for new product commercialization and change‑management projects.
• Apply advanced quality tools such as VOC, LHOQ, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and control plans.
• Translate Voice of Customer data into actionable quality plans executed at the factory level.
• Negotiate specifications with customers and development teams.
• Identify and track critical KPIs, including Lean Six Sigma savings and Cost of Quality.
• Provide statistical insights through control‑chart analysis, capability studies and experimental designs.
• Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• Minimum two years of combined experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering or product engineering.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural, global teams and lead cross‑functional projects.
