Senior Quality Engineer – Drive Quality in NPI Projects

About the role

As a Senior Quality Engineer at 3M, you will partner with global teams to ensure new product introductions meet rigorous quality standards while mitigating risk. You will apply advanced quality tools, drive continuous improvement, and support product evolution across the manufacturing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives in New Product Introduction (NPI), including House of Quality, DQM, and phase‑gate preparation.
• Develop and maintain specifications, test methods, and manufacturing process capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Perform statistical analysis to support data‑driven decisions and act as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Drive root‑cause investigations, CAPA, Kaizen, 8D, FMEA, MSA, DOE, and control plan development.
• Review and resolve customer product complaints promptly.
• Manage product changes through change management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required) and at least 3 years of quality or manufacturing experience.
• Experience in private, public, government, or military environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for interaction with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
