Test Development Engineer

About the role

As a Test Development Engineer at 3M, you will collaborate with innovative teams worldwide to translate customer requirements into robust test methods that support new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new product development teams in creating and optimizing physical test methods.
• Design experiments to refine test procedures.
• Coordinate testing activities and translate data into actionable insights.
• Build a network of support across corporate research, labs, manufacturing, and engineering.
• Communicate findings at all organizational levels to guide product direction.
• Serve as a technical resource within the work group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with at least one year of physical test method development experience, or an Associate degree with five years of experience.
• Demonstrated project leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
• Experience with abrasive products, Design of Experiments, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW and industrial robots such as FANUC or Kuka.
