Senior Program Manager

About the role

Red 6 is an AR technology startup delivering immersive synthetic training for fighter pilots. The Senior Program Manager will own end‑to‑end delivery of breakthrough systems from development through fielding for defense customers.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for cost, schedule, performance, and risk across the full program lifecycle.
• Serve as primary customer liaison for one or more contracts, providing status and driving execution.
• Establish baselines, manage risk/opportunity, and maintain revenue and cash models.
• Lead cross‑functional teams including engineering, test, quality, manufacturing, finance, and subcontractors.
• Partner with business development on proposals, new contracts, and revenue forecasting.
• Track deployed systems, support software deployment in DevSecOps environments, and ensure ongoing performance.
• Maintain compliance with ITAR, CMMC, and AS9100 standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of program leadership experience, preferably in government acquisition.
• BS or higher in a science or engineering discipline.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Program management in Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
• Experience with EVMS, risk and opportunity management, cost/revenue modeling.
• Familiarity with ITAR, CMMC, and AS9100 compliance.
• PMP certification (preferred) and EVMS experience (preferred).
