Manufacturing Production & Test Technician

About the role

Red 6 is seeking a self‑motivated Hardware Technician to bring augmented reality technology to life. You will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components for our ATARS product in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, circuit boards and wiring systems according to engineering schematics, performing soldering, crimping and wire‑harnessing to IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards.
• Conduct functional tests, document results, non‑conformances and repairs in production logs and ERP systems.
• Assist in developing and implementing new production processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage inventory, shipping and receiving as the first production technician.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2‑5 years experience in electronics assembly or production in aerospace or high‑reliability environments.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance.

Required skills

• Soldering and wire‑harnessing (IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001 preferred).
• Reading and interpreting electronic schematics, assembly drawings and technical documentation.
• Use of diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting techniques for electronic systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with ERP production logging.
