Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst – Remote

About the role

The Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst will lead the design, configuration, and ongoing support of Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada operations. Working remotely, you will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, IT and other stakeholders to ensure the system meets business and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain and optimize Workday Payroll functionality for U.S. and Canada payroll.
• Support complex payroll configurations such as pay components, calculated fields, conditional rules, eligibility criteria and accumulations.
• Collaborate with payroll leadership to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Lead testing for system enhancements, releases, regulatory changes and integrations.
• Support related Workday modules (Benefits, Compensation, Absence, reporting) that impact payroll processing.
• Evaluate new Workday releases and industry best practices to recommend enhancements and automation.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Workday Payroll and deep understanding of payroll processes.
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams to design scalable system configurations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
