Senior Modeling and Simulation Developer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation Developer to join its Federal Solutions team. In this position you will work with engineers and software developers to create high‑fidelity digital twins of advanced threat systems, supporting mission‑critical simulations for U.S. government customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software digital twins using C++ and Python on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Model advanced threat systems such as surface‑to‑air missiles, radar platforms, and missile seekers.
• Create high‑fidelity propagation effects, including terrain masking, refraction, and over‑the‑horizon propagation.
• Design tracking filters and signal‑processing chains for radar and electronic‑warfare systems.
• Integrate models into larger mission‑level simulations and support simulation studies.
• Automate unit, system, and system‑of‑systems test planning, development, and execution.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years.

Required skills

• Strong programming in C++ and Python.
• Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps environments.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Proficiency on Windows and Linux operating systems.
