Senior Member of Technical Staff – Multimodal AI

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop cutting‑edge multimodal AI systems that integrate text, speech, and vision.
• Conduct research and experiments on our advanced compute infrastructure, exploring novel ideas in multimodal representation learning and transfer learning.
• Collaborate closely with world‑class teams, contributing to and learning from their expertise.

Required profile

• Deep passion for machine learning and its impact across industries through multimodal applications.
• Experience tuning and optimizing large multimodal models and building evaluations to measure performance.
• Comfort diving into complex ML codebases to identify and resolve issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, technically challenging environment and deliver creative, practical solutions.

Required skills

• Strong software engineering background with proven ability to build robust, scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of distributed training strategies for large‑scale multimodal models.
• Familiarity with autoregressive models for tasks like image/video captioning and speech‑to‑text generation.
• Bonus: experience writing efficient GPU kernels with CUDA and publications in top‑tier venues.
