Senior Medical Director – Hematology Oncology

About the role

Servier seeks a senior leader to serve as the primary medical and scientific authority for its high‑priority oncology portfolio covering AML, MDS and ALL. The role bridges clinical development, commercial strategy, and external practice, translating complex data into actionable medical strategies that drive therapeutic advances.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global/US Medical Affairs strategic plan, aligning with cross‑functional partners and commercial milestones.
• Integrate clinical insights, health‑economics and real‑world evidence to build a cohesive medical platform that demonstrates product value.
• Manage the global or regional Medical Affairs budget for the oncology brand, optimizing resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, lead advisory boards, and represent Servier at scientific symposia.
• Provide medical sign‑off on promotional, educational and scientific materials, ensuring compliance with FDA/EMA guidelines.
• Collaborate with MSL leadership, pharmacovigilance and other functions to ensure safe and effective product use.

Required profile

• MD, DO, PhD or PharmD with advanced life‑science focus; board‑certified or eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology preferred.
• 10+ years progressive biopharma experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic Medical Affairs role.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑million‑dollar medical budgets and lead cross‑functional matrix teams.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (FDA SIUU guidance, OIG, international promotional standards).
• Strong leadership and communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
