Senior Manager, Technology Procurement

About the role

Deloitte Global is looking for a Senior Manager of Technology Procurement to lead global category strategy, sourcing, negotiations and contracting within a group of sub-categories in the Technology category, focused on SaaS software, cloud service providers and AI. The role sits in the Global CoRe shared service, which supports Deloitte People worldwide, and covers seven locations: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Grand Rapids, Hermitage, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Tampa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more master category strategies that drive measurable global cost savings, avoidance or commercial value.
• Run end-to-end sourcing and contracting, including RFP/RFQ/RFI processes and negotiations, with structured financial comparisons and analyses.
• Take part in regular planning and project rationalization and balancing against delivery capacity.
• Partner with Technology stakeholders, VMOs, Legal, Risk and Finance to frame commercial terms and drive cost-avoidance.
• Recruit, coach and develop procurement professionals, and build strategic supplier partnerships.
• Turn spend and activity data into insights and recommend process improvements for the Global Procurement function.
• Provide project summaries, financial scenario analyses and savings impact summaries to stakeholders, and support supplier relationship management and CSAT.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in procurement of technology and related categories.
• Experience managing teams and project management experience.
• Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment under tight deadlines, with internal clients at all levels.
• Experience in an IT or IT financial function is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of common sourcing templates, tools and methodologies.
• Expertise in technology contract negotiations and relationship management.
• Knowledge of standard category strategy execution and business case reviews, including TCO evaluation.
• Persuasive communication skills and strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency.
