Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy

About the role

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy leads a team of managers and senior analysts who provide subject matter expertise, project management and analytical support for developing and executing pricing strategies. The role understands the needs of merchants, the Pro team and subsidiaries, tests hypotheses and works with product teams to prioritize IT development, collaborating with marketing, operations, strategy and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop relationships with cross-functional partners, run standard and ad hoc analysis to identify performance drivers, recommend pricing decisions and build financial plans reflecting pricing changes
• Analyze marketplace and macroeconomic trends, competitive assessment, customer segmentation, line structure, localization, promotional effectiveness, transaction and basket penetration, and consumer psychology
• Lead executive-level presentations summarizing historical performance, strategic rationale and expected financial impact, and report to all levels of management
• Manage project milestones, conduct postmortems, integrate new data sources and lead strategy reviews
• Communicate with leadership to gain alignment and partner with IT and other teams to prioritize strategy execution

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred: MBAP, retail pricing, merchandising, planning and analysis experience
• 4 years of experience preferred
• Reports to the Sr. Director Pricing with 5 direct reports; typically less than 10% overnight travel
