Senior Manager, Legal Counsel – US Manufacturing

About the role

Alcon is seeking a senior‑level transactional lawyer to serve as the primary legal partner for its U.S. Manufacturing & Technical Operations (MTO) sites. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, the Senior Manager, Legal Counsel will support manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality and operations teams across multiple states.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support for U.S. MTO operations, including manufacturing sites, procurement and quality functions.
• Draft, negotiate and manage regional commercial agreements such as supply, manufacturing, service and technology‑transfer contracts.
• Lead legal management of supplier performance issues, risk assessments, disputes and escalation strategies.
• Support site operational needs including leases, facilities agreements, equipment procurement and automation projects.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Compliance, HR, Tax, Finance and global legal teams to ensure consistent standards.
• Advise on compliance and regulatory matters related to manufacturing, including anti‑bribery, third‑party due diligence, privacy and health‑safety‑environment.
• Coordinate with external counsel on contractual and local matters and manage litigation, investigations and regulatory inquiries.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as footprint optimization, new product launches, supply‑resilience and template harmonization.

Required profile

• Mid‑level transactional attorney with experience supporting manufacturing or technical operations.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work autonomously across multiple jurisdictions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; extensive relevant legal experience.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Experience handling supplier disputes, regulatory compliance and litigation coordination.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
