Senior Manager - Cluster Security

About the role

Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, which delivers training and inference speeds over 10 times faster than GPU-based cloud services. As Senior Manager - Cluster Security, you will be the security lead for the company's AI cluster product, which consists of hundreds of wafer-scale accelerators, thousands of high-end servers, thousands of networking ports, network-attached storage and a large-scale datacenter. You will ensure end-to-end security and privacy of these clusters, covering complex hardware, networking and a vertically integrated cluster management software stack.

Key responsibilities

• Be the primary engineering face and owner of cluster security.
• Provide strong technical leadership in cluster security for the company.
• Work with corporate security and customers to identify and define security enhancements.
• Build engineering-driven software providing guardrails, vulnerability detection and response tools across the hardware and software stack.
• Collaborate across functions to keep the cluster software secure.
• Develop, maintain and execute the cluster security product roadmap.
• Build an engineering team to deliver world-class security solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of engineering leadership or management in distributed systems security.
• Proven track record of delivering, launching and deploying secured distributed solutions to customers.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder skills, with tough decision-making and data-driven trade-off analysis.
• Strong sense of product and user journeys, and ability to execute roadmaps under tight timelines and budgets.
• Strong background in multi-tenancy of large-scale clusters and in computer and cluster networks.

Required skills

• Distributed systems software development (Kubernetes and its ecosystem preferred).
• Bare-metal cluster management software and related monitoring (preferred).

The salary range is $140,000 - $240,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications and location.
