Senior Maintenance Technician – High‑Rise Property

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of a high‑rise, stabilized property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time, on‑site position supports resident satisfaction and property performance through timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and make‑ready preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them per safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to verify compliance with quality and specification standards.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, including OSHA training and incident reporting.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work rotating on‑call schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 and Type 2 refrigerant recycling certification
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification
• Valid driver’s license (golf‑cart operation)
