Senior Maintenance Technician – Airport Systems

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliable operation of critical airport equipment at Burbank International Airport. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Passenger Boarding Ramps, Baggage Handling Systems, Checked Baggage Inspection Systems, and their associated control and mechanical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance on PBR, BHS, CBIS and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Perform repairs following OEM specifications, safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Document all work orders accurately in the CMMS.
• Respond quickly to service calls, jams or breakdowns to support 24/7 operations.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and tool inventories.
• Assist with spare‑parts tracking and requisitions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and airport stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, airport or material‑handling environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Required skills

• Conveyor systems, drives, sensors and PLCs.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (e.g., Maximo).
• Hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Reading and interpreting schematics and mechanical drawings.
