Senior Logistics Analyst, LM Sustainment (DFC)

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Logistics Analyst for its Store Support Center. The role uses analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, improve and control logistics operations, covering data management, performance analysis, problem identification and recommendations to management. It reports to the Manager of Sr Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activity for large-scale initiatives such as Supply Chain Sync, Manual Floor Load and Breakpack enhancement.
• Develop and run scorecards for project and organizational metrics to measure performance against business cases.
• Create and analyze reports, support ad-hoc queries and maintain reports from various sources.
• Build business tools and solutions, and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Perform forecasting, develop and implement process improvements, and carry out cost-benefit analysis and process mapping.
• Analyze requests for business and systemic enhancements that deliver cost savings.
• Provide recommendations to senior management and mentor Logistics Analysts.
• Manage vendor and business partner relationships.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Math or Finance; preferred Master's degree.
• Preferred: experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
• Preferred: 3 years of work experience.
• Typical travel of up to 25% overnight; mostly sits in a comfortable indoor setting.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio.
• Advanced skills preferred: Mini-Tab, SQL, Visual Basic, data acquisition and analysis, process mapping, project management, finance/CBA/capital budget.
