Senior Linux DevSecOps Engineer (TS/SCI)

About the role

DPG Solutions is seeking a senior Linux DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission‑critical customer in a classified environment. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on Red Hat expert with deep troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate independently on high‑visibility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, sustain, troubleshoot, and modernize Red Hat‑based Linux systems in a classified setting.
• Configure, patch, tune performance, manage users, networking, and harden security for mission platforms.
• Integrate Linux with storage, virtualization, networking, and mission services, and support on‑premise and cloud‑adjacent deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, emphasizing reliability, security, and repeatability.
• Automate tasks using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools to improve consistency and accelerate recovery.
• Provide operational support, including maintenance, incident response, and occasional after‑hours on‑call duties.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance (FS Polygraph) and a current CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification.
• 10+ years of Linux system administration experience, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8.
• Experience supporting systems in classified, secure, or mission‑critical environments.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8), Red Hat Satellite Server, Kickstart, RPM packaging.
• Automation/configuration tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
• Scripting: Bash, Python.
• Virtualization: VMware ESXi, vCenter.
• Cloud: AWS (preferred).
• Container platforms: Rancher, Kubernetes.
• Version control and DevOps tools: Git, Artifactory, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, Jira.
• Storage: NetApp appliances, NAS, SAN.
• Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
