Senior Leadership Development Specialist

About the role

The East‑West Center seeks a Senior Leadership Development Specialist to design, coordinate, facilitate and implement cohort‑based professional development programs that address critical Asia‑Pacific issues. The role works closely with program operations, partners and stakeholders to deliver engaging, regionally relevant learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop customized curricula and learning experiences for cohort‑based leadership capacity‑building programs, covering regional topics such as digital transformation, AI, food and energy security, and peace and security.
• Facilitate workshops, discussions, experiential activities and study tours, fostering cross‑cultural dialogue, reflective learning and practical skill‑building.
• Coordinate with program operations, guest experts, community partners and alumni to implement program agendas, field‑based learning and both virtual and in‑person delivery.
• Develop and execute evaluation processes, incorporate feedback, and contribute to reports, donor updates and proposal development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and at least four years of program facilitation or teaching experience in leadership or professional development within U.S. or Asia‑Pacific contexts (or equivalent 11 years of related experience).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross‑cultural settings.
• Demonstrated experience designing, delivering and evaluating immersive leadership development programs, including coaching, mentoring and project management of residential initiatives.
