Senior iOS/Android Software Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a small, product-focused team building a consumer fintech mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to craft polished user experiences and drive meaningful outcomes for real people managing their finances.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a consumer‑facing Android application used in production.
• Help build and improve platform‑level architecture supporting core app features.
• Solve engineering problems pragmatically, balancing speed and quality.
• Contribute to product design and direction decisions alongside cross‑functional teammates.
• Communicate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, with 2+ years shipping production Android apps professionally.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
• Strong Kotlin expertise, including hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
• Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
• Proven experience integrating Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
• Background building consumer‑facing mobile applications, not exclusively B2B products.
• Proficiency with Android testing strategies covering unit, instrumentation, and UI tests.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
• Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
• Strong academic background in computer science or a related field.

What we offer

• Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 annually.
