Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

About the role

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a senior‑level Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join its design engineering team. The role involves providing technical expertise in instrumentation and control, leading I&C efforts, and delivering high‑quality project designs for power facilities across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Provide I&C discipline technical expertise and lead the I&C team throughout project execution.
• Develop and evaluate detailed instrumentation and control designs for power generation, delivery, and retrofit projects.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, external consultants, and construction partners to ensure constructability and safety.
• Support proposal development, cost estimating, and technical design execution.
• Assist with construction, commissioning, and post‑construction support to ensure successful project hand‑over.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in the power or related infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to work independently on small projects and as part of large, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience leading I&C teams and coordinating with construction partners.
• Strong understanding of EPC delivery models for power facilities.
