Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, turning business priorities and workforce needs into actionable people strategies. This role partners across Oceaneering’s global functions to drive workforce planning, organization effectiveness, talent strategy, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business priorities, operating realities, and financial considerations into people strategies that support performance, growth, and transformation.
• Lead strategic workforce and scenario planning, assessing talent needs, identifying skill gaps, and developing talent plans aligned to business strategy.
• Partner with leaders to design and implement organization effectiveness initiatives, including operating model changes, role clarity, and leadership alignment.
• Drive change management for business and HR transformation, creating change strategies, stakeholder plans, communication approaches, and adoption metrics.
• Use workforce data, business insights, and talent analytics to identify trends, anticipate risks, influence decisions, and monitor people‑related outcomes.
• Advise on talent strategy, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, engagement, retention, and talent movement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or strategic HR role, advising senior leaders and developing people strategies.
• 5+ years leading change management, transformation, organization effectiveness, or workforce planning initiatives.
• Proven ability to coach leaders and managers through complex performance, organizational, and employee‑relations matters.
• Strong credibility and influence across a complex, matrixed organization.
• Deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree in Business, HR, or related field is a plus.
