Senior Healthcare Interoperability Onboarding Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Interoperability Onboarding Engineer to lead the technical onboarding of healthcare facilities, vendors, and integration partners for a large federal government modernization project. This 100% remote position involves assessing readiness, configuring secure connections, and guiding partners through production transition.

Key responsibilities

• Assess facility and partner systems, interfaces, dependencies, and integration requirements to identify onboarding needs, risks, and readiness gaps.
• Execute onboarding activities such as credentialing, mTLS enrollment, secure connectivity setup, and interface configuration.
• Coordinate with facility teams, EHR vendors, engineers, testers, and integration partners to resolve connectivity, configuration, data‑exchange, and deployment issues.
• Support synthetic rehearsals, integration validation, parallel runs, cutover preparation, and production transition.
• Develop repeatable onboarding procedures, technical runbooks, checklists, and implementation documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in technical integration, enterprise application integration, or healthcare interoperability.
• Proven experience assessing onboarding readiness, technical dependencies, interface requirements, and integration risks.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex projects and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Secure connectivity configuration and mTLS enrollment.
• EHR integration, FHIR, HL7 workflows.
• API integration, XML, JSON, SQL, data mapping, and data‑flow analysis.
• Experience supporting integration testing, synthetic rehearsals, parallel runs, cutovers, and production transitions.
