Senior FPGA Verification Engineer

About the role

Radiant Industries is seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to join its Embedded Systems team in El Segundo, CA. You will lead verification activities for FPGA designs that are critical to the safety, control, and instrumentation of portable nuclear microreactors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end FPGA verification using SystemVerilog and UVM/OVM, from test‑plan creation to coverage closure.
• Develop and maintain automated testbenches for functional, regression, constrained‑random, and edge‑case testing.
• Define verification strategies for sensor processing, serial communication, and actuator handling logic.
• Collaborate with RTL designers, hardware engineers, embedded software, and test engineers to resolve bugs and ensure full functional coverage.
• Recommend and integrate new tools and best practices to improve the verification flow.
• Provide occasional RTL design support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands‑on FPGA verification experience.
• Proven ability to work on safety‑critical, multi‑clock‑domain designs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• SystemVerilog and UVM/OVM verification methodologies.
• FPGA verification flow: simulation, coverage analysis, regression management.
• Serial protocols: UART, SPI, I2C.
• Ethernet, AXIS and APB bus interfaces.
• Experience with Microchip PolarFire SoC platform (preferred).
• JASPER or similar verification tools.
• Linux environment, TCL, Bash scripting.
