Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML)

About the role

AML RightSource, a technology-enabled managed services firm helping financial institutions, FinTechs and corporations with AML/BSA, transaction monitoring, KYC, EDD and risk management, is hiring a Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML) remotely. The role involves detecting suspicious financial activity, ensuring regulatory compliance and performing quality control, with the possibility of supervising junior analysts. It is a work-from-home position with core hours Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Identify data anomalies and red flags related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions violations, and escalate cases for second-level review
• Verify client identities and the purpose of their relationship with the financial institution in line with KYC procedures
• Perform quality control tasks and submit written work for review by internal and client quality control teams
• Support advanced tasks such as client communication, analysis of production data and creation of client-specific aids and training materials
• Provide independent support to analysts on workflow and administrative items, and meet deadlines
• Comply with federal and state laws, AML requirements and company policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to investigate suspicious activity, analyse findings and write detailed Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Strong knowledge of financial or banking industry regulations
• Proven ability to meet and exceed daily production goals
• Receptive to feedback and quick to learn new technologies

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Written and oral communication, with the ability to summarise recommendations and conclusions
