Senior Environmental Estimator

About the role

The Senior Environmental Estimator will work closely with company leadership, program managers and technical teams to develop accurate, competitive and risk‑informed estimates for environmental projects. This position supports business growth by ensuring proposals are aligned with market conditions and company capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct RFP reviews, define project scope and solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Develop cost estimates, Basis of Estimates (BOE) and risk/opportunity assessments for a variety of environmental work.
• Lead the estimating team, mentor junior estimators and maintain document control for bid materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, capture managers and contracts to create staffing plans, subcontractor databases and comprehensive quote comparisons.
• Track market conditions, manage bidding schedules and lead bid reviews with senior management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of senior estimating experience, preferably in federal government contracting.
• Proven ability to develop estimates from technical specifications, drawings and environmental reports.
• Experience leading meetings, coordinating with cross‑functional teams and managing subcontractor solicitation processes.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for access to government installations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
