Senior Environmental Engineer

About the role

Join 3M as a Senior Environmental Engineer and lead compliance initiatives for a chemical and film manufacturing site. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental regulations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the environmental compliance program through data collection, recordkeeping, testing and reporting for chemical and film manufacturing.
• Lead projects that ensure compliance for the site’s chemical plant, film manufacturing plant and wastewater treatment operations.
• Implement management systems and training programs to sustain compliance with RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA and other regulations.
• Identify improvement opportunities, develop strategic plans and track implementation with stakeholders.
• Provide on‑call support for emergency response events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline.
• Minimum five years of environmental compliance and reporting experience.
• Working knowledge of federal and/or state regulations such as RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA.

Required skills

• RCRA, CWA, CAA, TSCA compliance knowledge.
• EPCRA reporting.
• Hazardous waste management.
• Wastewater permitting.
• Storm water permit and spill control plan preparation.
• Process safety management.
• Multimedia compliance auditing.

What we offer

• Compensation range of $124,127 – $151,710 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay.
