Senior Enterprise Architect (Top-Secret Cleared)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Top-Secret cleared Senior Enterprise Architect / Java Tech Lead to join its team in Washington, DC. The architect leads an engineering organization focused on enterprise-class Java development, data discovery and analytical insights, using SAFe Agile and DevOps to deliver scalable on-premises and cloud applications that support national security missions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in designing, building and maintaining enterprise-class Java applications and defining baseline and target architectures for production environments.
• Architect, build and optimize scalable cloud solutions with extensive AWS experience.
• Implement and oversee automated CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab.
• Champion SAFe Agile and Scrum, aligning standards with business and technology strategy.
• Analyze existing and proposed architectures, recommend improvements and support ATO and security accreditation processes.
• Design and maintain robust database architectures, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Consult with clients, supervise studies and data analysis surveys, and lead project staff.

Required profile

• 7-9 years of experience in enterprise architecture, software or database engineering (equivalent certifications or specialized work may substitute).
• Active Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business or a related field; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience, with 7 years of related technical specialized experience.
