Senior Electrical Engineer – Renewable Energy (Remote)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Owner’s Engineering and Technical Advisory group. The role focuses on providing design review, quality assurance, and risk mitigation for utility‑scale renewable power projects delivered remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive design reviews of electrical documents, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, applicable codes, and owner specifications.
• Develop and issue detailed review comment reports, highlighting non‑conformances, performance risks, cost optimization opportunities, and scheduling considerations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering for renewable power (solar, wind, battery storage, combined generation) and utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE, NFPA, ANSI, NETA standards and ability to interpret codes and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with power system analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, ASPEN.
• Expertise in 3‑phase AC power systems from LV (120 V) to HV (345 kV) and DC battery systems up to 125 V.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and strong computer skills.

What we offer

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $140,000 to $200,000.
